The Tom Watkins Community Farm is moving right along. Global Harvest Organics has just donated roughly five tons of organic fertilizer to help the process.

The Queen City Beard and Moustache Federation will kick off our Give Ozarks campaign on April 16 at 5pm at 319 Event Center. This annual facial hair competition is looking to raise $20k to provide match funds for the one day online fundraiser on May 3.
Local businesses and SCG enthusiasts can increase the impact of the upcoming Give Ozarks fundraising campaign by becoming a match sponsor. Whether it's $25 or $2500, every dollar counts and will help double the impact of other local donors on May 3, 2016.

Get to know our own community farmer, Derek Smith, who has been training under Farmer Dan Bigbee, of Fassnight Creek Farms. They have been preparing the space in the Tom Watkins neighborhood since last fall, getting ready for a busy 2016 growing season.

The weekly Produce Distribution (PD) in our neighborhood is a year and a half old now, though in some ways it seems only a short time ago that we embarked on this journey. The author of this article, Jerry Saylor, is a long time resident of the Grant Beach neighborhood and a Navy Veteran. Thank you for serving your country and your neighborhood, Jerry!
