This partnership with Ozarks Food Harvest has been serving the community since 2014. Free produce is available with no qualifications required to partake.

August 6th 6-7:30pm - Introduction into Food Forests and Foraging Learn about our Rogers Food Forest, and enjoy a quick foraging hike around our lot and down the block to see what is growing in August! Hosted at Rogers Food Forest, 1436 N. Rogers Ave, Springfield. This workshop is free and open to the public.

August 9th 6-7:30pm - Midtown Farm Walk with Value Added Tour Take a guided farm walk with Patrick Byers to see how real-world practices can support food safety from soil to harvest. Then, we’ll tour the SCG shared-use kitchen with SCG Employee and Value Added Producer Rachael West, where we’ll talk about opportunities for value-added products like pickles, jams, sauces, and more plus what it takes to get certified to use a commercial kitchen. Hosted at the SCG Midtown Community Garden 1471 N. Benton Ave, Springfield. This workshop is free and open to the public.

August 19th 6-7:30pm - Blackberry Production and Farm Walk with Patrick Byers Join us as we learn from Patrick Byers (retired from MU Extension) how to prune, and manage our row of berries for high yield! Hosted at Tindle Family Farm, The event is FREE and open to the public. August 27th 6-7:30pm - Flower Preservation at Gooseberry Bridge Farm Join us Wednesday, August 27th to learn the art of Flower Preservation, Wreath making and more with Gooseberry Bridge Farm! Gooseberry Bridge Farm is a you-pick flower farm in Rogersville, Missouri with other great farm add-on's like baby animal petting and more. The event is FREE and open to the public.
