Grow to Ride 4-H Farming Camp

The Springfield Community Gardens (SCG) Grow to Ride 4-H Club brings together youth from areas of low socioeconomic status to develop personal responsibility through horsemanship, learn the importance of food sustainability, and provide service to their communities. This camp is intended to provide an opportunity for youth from underserved backgrounds to learn about different agricultural career paths and receive hands-on growing experience who might otherwise not have the opportunity due to financial constraints.
Youth must be aged 7-12 to participate. If you are applying for multiple children, please complete this application once for each.
The camp will last from Monday, June 24 - Friday, June 28, 2024 from 9 am - 1 pm, with child drop off available as early as 8 am.
Applications will be accepted based on 1) the order they were received pending 2) submission of the Waiver and Release form for each child, and 3) confirmed enrollment in our Grow to Ride 4-H Club for each child.
