St. John's Chapel UCC Community Garden

The St. John's Chapel United Church of Christ (UCC) Community Garden began its journey in 1968 with current garden leader Dean Rund's father-in-law, Bob Dohm. The land soon fell into line with Dohm’s passions as he built a church as well as began cultivating the ground. Around ten years ago, current garden leader Gary Tebbenkamp started up the community garden with the nearby church members and several local families. Over time, news of their community garden spread by word of mouth. Just as a community garden should be, the St. John’s Chapel UCC garden is a beacon of togetherness.
